You can create Fades Snapshots that are recalled whenever you hit shift+F on a clip, almost every behaviour can be enabled, disabled or tweak to follow your usecase. What makes Pro Tools cool is mostly that you can adapt its workflow to yours. In fact I think I'd like a bit more detailed options. So if I have 128 markers and I wanna go to the 73rd one I just type. In PT you type a period then whichever number your marker is then a period, and it goes there.

In S1 I use the numpad but after 10 markers I have to add a modifier key, and it still only gives me 10 more keys. It'd be awesome if they could configure something like the PT marker selection in the shortcuts. I wish we could adjust the zooming behaviour, so that it zooms on the selected clip, or on the playback marker, because right now I find it confusing. I would love to be able to zoom in and out laterally using the Alt key on windows, like it is on PT.

4.6 was amazingly stable, but since the upgrade to 5, less so. Overall stability seems to be trending downwards, also. I have two other sessions that are not nearly as old that also sometimes have issues, though less reliably than the very old one which always crashes if I leave the machine for more than an hour or two. It's probably a corrupt WAV or something, but it's impossible to tell.

I have a session that is nearly 4 years old and it crashes sitting at idle. Some kind of file integrity verification. It's annoying that it starts with the oldest changes first.

I posted about this on the FB group and the mod there said "pay better attention to your tracks," which seems like a pretty lame response and an oversight. Mute and Solo have them, but if you have like 120 tracks or anything else over a couple dozen or so, it's very easy to lose sight of what you have armed.
